Over The Moon Monday - Independence Day

Good morning and welcome to another Over The Moon Monday on my blog. Independence Day is fast approaching, and on the 4th of July, I will be participating in a blog hop sponsored by SNR Card Universe. I will be giving away blog candy, and I invite you to come see what it's all about.

Today I want to share some cards I have made for Independence Day. I invite you to post a link in the comments section to Independence Day cards you have made.

I don't have many "patriotic" stamps, so I decided to make do with what I had. In the card on the left, I made some "camo" background paper and then used a piece of "denim" paper to make a pocket like you would find on a pair of jeans. I used stamps to make patches, and tucked a tag in the pocket. For the card on the left, I used my angel stamp and some red, white and blue diamond dust cardstock. The cardstock glimmers with embedded glitter. The Happy 4th of July stamp is from The Angel Company.

For this card, I again used my angel stamp. You can't tell from the scan, but there is glitter on the wings and wand. She is matted on a piece of cardstock that was made using bingo markers to make splats. I used pieces of the diamond dust cardstock from the card above.
The card on the left uses stamps from Artistic Outpost. I stamped it, then painted the flag with acrylic paint. The card background uses some red, white and blue parchlucent paper. The card on the right uses a firecracker border stamp from Stampendous, and the saying stamp is from My Paper Moon. Again, I used the paper splattered with bingo markers for the background.
Using some more of the diamond dust flag paper, I made this card, which fits into a #10 envelope. The ribbon stamp is from My Paper Moon and the Hero stamp is from Artistic Outpost.
Again using leftover pieces from the diamond dust cardstock, I made this card. The ribbon stamp is from My Paper Moon and the toothpick flag just gave it a little extra oomph. The word stamps are from Artistic Outpost.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards. If I am making lots of cards, I tend to keep them simple, but I get bored making the same card over and over, so I usually make a variety of cards.

Please share your cards with us using links in the comments section, and don't forget to join me Saturday, July 4th for the SNR Card Universe Blog Hop. See you then...
