Spirelli

Hello!

I bought some new thread, so I decided to make a couple of spirelli ATC's.

The sunflower stamp is from My Paper Moon and is item #180H-05. The colors of the sunflower are wonky, so I don't know if it was the scan, or what, but it is really more subtle in real life.  The oval the sunflower sits on is made from glossy cardstock colored with reinkers.

On this ATC, the sunflower sits on a round cut-out made from the same cardstock as the background.  It's a bronze shimmery cardstock and is quite heavy.

I like the way they turned out, and can either use them as is (as Artist Trading Cards), or I can mat them and put them on a card.

Thanks for looking!

Watercolor/Paper Piercing Technique

Good morning!

Today I want to share a cool technique.

I stamped the image on the back of water color paper.  Then I used a paper piercer to pierce the outline. I turned the water color paper over, and watercolored the pierced image.  You will need to use an image that doesn't have a lot of detail, and this sunflower image from My Paper Moon worked well.  The sentiment was stamped on gold foil paper (which shows up brown in the scan) and cut out using a die, then attached to the card with ribbon.  An easy card to make, but looks  nice.
