Thank You

Good morning!  It's been awhile.  Lots of crazy stuff going on at work (more work for me), so I haven't been posting like I should. And this will also be a quick post.

Recently I started doing business with a new company (new to me anyway).  To show their appreciation for my business, they bought my lunch on Friday.

To show my appreciation to them, I made the following card:

All stamps are by My Paper Moon except for the shells, which are from Evo's Evolving Images. The sand, sky, baby, rocks and "thank you" were colored with copics.  The clouds and water were colored with Radiant Pearls.  I used a white gel pen to make waves, and you can't see it in the scan, but I used a glitter pen to make the sunlight reflecting on the water.

I think they will like it.  I know I had fun making it.

Beautifully Made

Whew! Thursday and Friday, I woke up with migraines, which wipe me out. So, I wasn't able to post anything for a few days. This morning I woke up with a headache, but I think it was because it rained during the night, and with the barometric pressure change, I sometimes get headaches. It's gone now, so all is good...

So, this is what I worked on yesterday.



The stamps are all by My Paper Moon and can be found here. The lace on the right hand side is a Mrs. Grossman's sticker. I started by stamping the palm tree half off the page and coloring it in. Then I used a versamarker and clear embossing powder and heat embossed the image. I brayered on aqua ink at an angle, then brayered on aquamarine at the top for contrast. At the bottom I brayered on a clay chalk ink, and wiped the ink off the palm tree. I used a white brilliance and sponged it on between the aqua and the clay to make the wave line. I stamped the "beautifully made" sentiment on the top and glued a gold shell charm on the bottom.

Seashore Card

Today we're going to make a seashore card, which can be used for thinking of you, get well, birthday, or actually any occasion. These are fun and easy to make. There isn't a particular technique, so let's get started.

1. On white cardstock, stamp the seashore stamp (My Paper Moon) about 2/3 of the way down the card.
2. Color in the rocks and the water with markers or colored pencils.
3. If desired, you can add some clear glitter glue to the water to give it sparkle.
4. With a white gel pen, go over some of the water to make waves.
5. Stamp the seagull stamps in the sky.
6. With chalk, make clouds.
7. For the sand at the bottom of the card, I mixed a few drops of a brown reinker with spackling compound until I got the color of sand, then applied to the card.
8. Embellish with a seashell charm.
9. Layer on a complementary color of cardstock.
