Over The Moon Monday - Color Challenge

Once again it's time for Over The Moon Monday here on the blog. Today I would like to challenge you today to use colors that aren't often found together. They were in the piece of clip art I chose for the centerpiece, and I thought they would make a good color combination that we don't usually see.

Today's card was made for my neice, who took a tumble in the parking lot where she works. I started with the clip art I wanted to use, and took my cues from that. There were pastel tintings of green and pink in the clip art, so I chose a green cardstock for the card. I stamped a swirl with white brilliance ink randomly over the cardstock.

The clipart is layered on a glossy ATC blank. I took the ATC and stamped swirls in white brilliance ink, allowed to dry, then brayered on a brown dye ink and wiped it off while it was still wet. I adhered the clipart to the base, then stamped "GRACE" on pink cardstock, which I then punched out and adhered to the ATC. I cut out a piece of a dressmakers tape and adhered to the upper corner, and some lace to the bottom.

The ATC just fit into a cutout in the cardstock, so it's really adhered to the inside of the card. I stamped "thinking of you" (stamp credit: The Angel Company) onto pink cardstock and cut out using the nestability oval dies. I cut out a dark green oval slightly larger, then a pink scalloped oval for the back. I attached a pink of pink ribbon, and punched out 2 borders with pink cardstock to adhere to the top and bottom of the card.

Now it's your turn. Make a card using pink and green and post a link here so we can all admire your handiwork. If I get enough response, I will choose a random winner for some blog candy.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
