Halloween

Hello!

It's time to dig out all my Halloween stamps. I love making Halloween cards.  This year I bought an embossing folder that I really like, but I don't like the fact that it's all one color when you are through running it through your machine.  So....

I chose white cardstock, and ran it though the Cuttlebug with the embossing folder.  Then the fun began.

I colored the stockings with bright purple and yellow Spectrum Noir markers.  The shoes I colored with black, and gold for the buckle.  Then I put glitter on everything!  When it was all dry, I cut them out and put them on background patterned paper.

Here are two more examples.  I changed the colors of the shoes and the stockings. Still has the Halloween feel though. You can click the images for a larger view.

I was happy when finished.

Have a great day!

Autumn #3

Hello!

I bought a fall embossing folder, but didn't really like the fact that it was all one color when you embossed your paper.  So, I dug out my sprays and my twinkling H2O's and went to work on it.

First I sprayed the white cardstock with Tsukineko Walnut Ink Sprays.  I let it dry, then ran it through the Cuttlebug using the embossing folder.

Using autumn colors, I painted all the embossed parts with the Twinkling H2O's.  Then I stamped the "Autumn" on a piece of coordinating cardstock and used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  I attached it with pop dots.  It's so shiny and sparkly and I didn't even have to use glitter on it.  :-)

I love the way this card turned out.

Have a happy day!

Inky hugs,

Another Autumn Card

Hello!

I recently bought some of those little $1.00 clear stamps. I usually don't like them, because they are usually pretty crappy to stamp with, but I found a set I like, so I thought I'd share the card I made with them.

This is a very simple card. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir markers. The little "Autumn" saying I stamped, cut out with Spellbinders dies, then attached with pop dots.

Hope you enjoy your day.

Inky hugs,

Autumn

Hello!

I see Facebook posts from people who live up north that it is finally starting to cool down and some of the leaves are starting to fall.  Well, here in Florida, I'm seeing some of the leaves fall off my trees, but it's still in the high 80's and low 90's temperature wise.  It should start to get a little cooler now, I hope.  I do love the cooler temperatures of fall, and only wish it would get here earlier.  I love to open the windows and let the cool air through the house, and I love sleeping with the windows open at night.

To get myself in the mood for autumn I have started stamping a few autumn cards.  Today I will share with you "fall is best of all".

I love the simplicity of this card.  One stamp and a little masking and you have a gorgeous card.  The leaf stamp and the saying is from The Angel Company, and are some of my favorite stamps. I loved their stamps and was sorry to see them go out of business.

Anyway, I stamped the leaf multiple times on a piece of 4 x 5-1/4 white cardstock, using a mask so they stayed connected. I colored them using Spectrum Noir markers, then cut them out, leaving the connected parts together.  I could have stamped another to the left of the bottom leaf, but chose not to. Then I adhered them to the layering paper, which was then layered onto kraft cardstock.  Another option is to pop the leaves up with pop dots.

This card would also look good using flowers as the border.

I hope you are enjoying the weather where you live.
