Lifeguard Cat

I was playing around this weekend, and this is my creation. The Lifeguard Cat is a fun stamp to play with. And of course I had to use the fish bone (he had lunch, right?), the birds, the buzzing bee, and the grass. The front of the umbrella is popped out with pop dots to give it dimension. This cat would also look good with the pool stamp in the background. If you haven't seen the pool stamp, go to http://www.mypapermoon.com/, and type pool in the search box. All stamps are from My Paper Moon, http://www.mypapermoon.com.

I made some ATC's also, which I will show you tomorrow. I love to make ATC's. A compact little canvas with endless possibilities.

I'll talk to you tomorrow!

Discussion Groups

Do you like to start or join discussions? Well, I have found a website where you can discuss anything you want, and there are a whole range of categories. And you get paid. Not a lot, but still....and if you join from my referral link, I'll get paid for your joining too.

If you would like to join, the code is http://www.mylot.com/?ref=MyPaperMoon. I have started discussions on football, crafting, and more, and you can, too.

My Challenge Card for "My"

A group I belong to is having word challenges. This is my card for the word "My":

This was a fun card to make. I like the sun through the window, and I like the zig-zag stitching (it was done with white ink, so it's very faint in the scan) on the card.

I have been thinking about my next craft purchase. I'm leaning heavily towards the Cuttlebug. I love the texture plates, and I can't wait to get the Cuttlebug and try it out. It sounds like it will do everything I want it to do. If you have one and want to email me with the pros and cons, I'd appreciate it.

I also want to get some beeswax and play. I have done encaustic wax techniques with crayons, and that was fun, but there is so much more you can do with beeswax.

I would like to share more techniques here, so please let me know what you would like to see.

As a side note, my New Years Resolution was to stop smoking. I have been successful for 25 days now. There are still times when I have that craving, but they are few and far between now, and I think I have this thing licked.

Have a great weekend, and TGIF!

How about those Patriots?

I have become a football junkie this year. Yeah, my hubby was always a New England Patriots fan, and I could care less about football. But something happened this year, and the more the season got underway, the more interested I became. Until finally, I morphed into a Patriots fan. Now I'm not saying I know EVERYTHING about football, but I'm learning. Some stuff I remember from high school, but the majority I'm having to learn, and it's kind of fun to be able to discuss football (intelligently, I might add) with someone and actually know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, congrats to the Patriots. 18 and 0! Super Bowl bound....go PATRIOTS!

Also, the game between Green Bay and the Giants was a good game. Congrats to Eli and the Giants. See you at the Super Bowl!

Domino Art

Here are some more domino stamp samples by Kristy Christopherson! Enjoy...

This is a pin

I have long been a fan of Kristy's art, and I'm thrilled that she's made these samples. The domino stamps are very versatile, and she has used them to make pins and cards, as well as stamped on dominoes.

I haven't been very good about posting, have I? And I was going to turn over a new leaf! However, I have been very busy at work (it's the end of the year stuff, you know....W-2's, etc., as well as closing out the books) and.....I quit smoking. That was my New Year's Resolution, and I'm happy to day that I am now 18 days smoke-free. You probably would not have liked me had I posted those first few days. And I still have my moments, but it's getting easier. My dear hubby quit along with me, and there were a few times I thought we might just kill each other, but he's getting better, too. We just might make it after all....

I have been working on some word challenges for a group I'm in, and that's been a lot of fun. Fortunately, the words are going along with some valentine's I'm making for the troops, so I'm essentially killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Here are a few of the cards...

I guess I've rambled on long enough...I'll talk to you again, soon...
